Robin Smith is a Scot in exile, living in Leeds with his wife Susie, and currently working as Head of Social Science at a scondary school in Bradford. He graduated from London Bible College in 1997 and worked as Youth Pastor in Winchester for eight years, becoming ordained as a Youth Specialist Minister with the Baptist Union in that time. Since moving to Leeds he worked in a number of part time jobs before becoming a teacher: with Oasis College and Nazarene Theological College on their youth ministry degree programmes, and in a range of youth work jobs – in outdoor education, as a detached worker for a charity in Leeds and in regional support roles for the Yorkshire Baptist Association and a local Anglican deanery. He is a CYM Masters Degree graduate, where he focussed on ‘outdoors education as a tool for exploring spirituality’ in his dissertation. He is a keen walker and climber, cycles to keep fit and spends time behind a camera at nature reserves to switch off.
