Taking the Pulse Survey

As part of our launch of the CYM Research Centre, we have been conducting a significant piece of research: Taking the pulse of ministry amongst children, young people and families in the UK. Through this substantial piece of research, we are seeking to bring research-informed insights to enhance ministry amongst younger generations across the UK church and beyond.

We've been capturing and including the views and experiences of church leaders, Christian parents, youth/ children’s/ family workers and volunteers, and children and young people themselves, about ministry with children, young people and families in 2024. In taking the pulse of these ministry areas, our desire is that the insights and understandings we gain can be shared with many sectors of the UK church to facilitate enhancements and developments within contemporary ministry amongst children, youth and families.

The survey is now closed and we are analysing all of the data ready to share widely. Watch this space for information about the findings. Please email Sarah Holmes if you would like any more information in the meantime.

We now seek the involvement of young people

Now that we are in the midst of analysing the findings, we would really love to hear from young people aged 9-18 years old, about what they think of the Taking the Pulse findings before we share them more widely. So we need 25 young people who would be willing to join a one hour zoom meeting sometime during the summer holidays to discuss this together (with Sarah Holmes and about three other young people). There will be a series of zoom group discussions, so we will ensure to work around your child’s availability. All of these 25 young people will get a £25 Amazon voucher to thank them for taking part.

You can view information about this here.

We need parent’s permission for the young people to take part, so parents please complete this form to register your child’s interest.

Or email Sarah Holmes if you have any queries.
