The International Association of Children’s Spirituality held their first in-person event since Covid in mid-July. Ruth Wills (Liverpool Hope University) and Sarah Holmes (CYM & LHU) were delighted to host the 38 delegates from across the globe at the Liverpool Hope campus.
The conversations were rich and varied – exploring the nature of children’s spirituality, the essence of spiritual health, attentive listening, sacred space and a child’s spiritual compass. We also enjoyed the stimulating and inspiring workshops: art as prayer, the World Café, Forest school approaches, and a musical activity. And the most amazing drumming workshop run by Katumba – such a profound, fun and engaging collaborative activity.
We look forward to gathering together to discuss these topics again soon.

This blog entry confirms that CYM will not be resuming recruitment to HE programmes and introduces our CYM Futures Project with a focus on research, training and resourcing for ministry with children and young people.
